Biographical Summaries

 

Nancy Nagler is the Vice President of Learning and Development in the Human Resources Department at MFS Investment Management. In this capacity, she manages a staff that is responsible for professional/soft skills training, supervisory, management and leadership development, new hire orientation, performance management, and the customization of training/development programs. During her tenure at MFS she introduced a customized leadership development program and a talent review process utilized for succession planning. Additionally she created a learning resource center with computer-based training programs, a mentoring program focused on diversity and is implementing a 360 degree feedback process with management teams throughout the organization beginning with the executive team. Her background includes over twenty years of experience in human resources management, leadership and organizational development, training, and career counseling.

Prior to joining MFS she was a Vice President at Camden Consulting Group where she provided executive coaching and consulted to organizations regarding leadership/organizational development. Additionally, at Keystone Associates, Camden Consulting’s parent company, she provided career/outplacement counseling to executives. Before working at Keystone Associates, Nancy worked in the Human Resources Department at Digital Equipment Corporation in a variety of roles. She was a human resources manager for several business units where she was responsible for providing the full range of human resources programs and processes.

Nancy received her Bachelors degree from S.U.N.Y at Buffalo and her M.Ed. from Northeastern University.

JUDY OTTO has worked in leadership, organizational, and team development in both the private and public sector for 25 years. She specializes in helping organizations, work units, and individuals plan, implement, and manage change. Her methods include executive coaching. In addition to these generic methodologies, Judy uses technologies and instruments from Dialogue, the Center for Creative Leadership, Future Search, and GE’s Work Out.

As an adjunct faculty member of The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL)/Rensselaer Learning Institute, she coaches participants in CCL’s Leadership Development Program. She has designed and delivered coaching programs for leadership teams and individual high level managers at several New England corporations. Judy has also facilitated CCL’s Leadership Development Program and Looking Glass Experience.

She is a founding member of the Executive Coaching Forum, whose members wrote the Handbook of Executive Coaching, available at the website http://www.theexecutivecoachingforum.com/. Judy is the manager of the TECF website.

Judy provides individual and group supervision for executive coaches. Judy has also served as adjunct faculty with Columbia University’s International Senior Executive Program, Boston University’s Executive Challenge Program, Antioch University, Lesley College, and Northeastern University.

Education
Judy’s formal degrees include a B.A. from Nazareth College of Rochester, NY, and an M.Ed. in Counseling from Antioch University. Because she values continuous learning, Judy devotes at least 20% of her working schedule each year to her own professional development. Recently she has studied with the MIT Dialogue Project (Bill Isaacs), Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Peter Vaill, David Cooperrider, Margaret Wheatley, Edgar Schein, Will Schutz, Warren Bennis), Harvard Medical School (Herbert Benson), Ned Hermann, and The Center for Creative Leadership.

Lawrence Rossini is president of Rossini Associates and a management consultant with more than twenty-five years of experience in the field of leadership and organization development. He provides a variety of coaching programs tailored for specific performance and development situations—for experienced leaders, for leaders entering into new assignments, for individuals identified as having leadership potential, and for leaders who are now at a juncture in deciding the course of their careers. Larry frequently works with founders and heads of family businesses, assisting in the succession planning process.

For eleven years, Larry held management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he was Corporate Director of Human Resource Development. While there he co-managed the Compensation and Development Program for senior executives on behalf of the Board of Directors and Office of the President. The program included performance assessment, development planning, high potential identification, and executive development for the corporation’s top leaders. He has been a director with McBer and Company, and a Senior Vice President of Manchester, Inc.

Larry serves on the Board of Directors of the Executive Coaching Forum. He is on the Board of Advisors for the School Leadership Project at the Snelling Center for Government at the University of Vermont. He is a fellow of the Massachusetts Psychological Association, and a member of the New England Society for Applied Psychology.

Client organizations include AstraZeneca, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, State Street Global Advisors, and Progress Software. Larry has also consulted to Mobil Corporation, PRI Automation, Cabot Corporation, Advanced Modular Systems, Performance Polymers, and Nashua Corporation. Non-profit clients form an important part of Larry’s practice. He has consulting relationships with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Oxfam America, and Grantmakers in Health. He has worked with leaders at Harvard University, Children’s Hospital (Boston), and the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Education
Larry received an A.B. in philosophy and M.A. in religion from St. Paul’s College, and a Ph.D. in psychology from Harvard University. He has held faculty positions at Boston College and the University of Connecticut. He is a licensed psychologist and certified health provider in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Michelle Vitti-Lawton is a senior partner at Camden Consulting group. She combines a professional background in the public and private sectors as a counselor, trainer and educator. Her expertise includes developing and implementing programs to help individuals achieve maximum professional effectiveness through identifying and reaching their goals. Previously, Ms. Vitti-Lawton was a Vice President with Keystone Partners, parent company of Camden Consulting Group. Before joining Keystone, she provided career management and professional development guidance to educators, health care professionals, women reentering the work force, and adult and traditional college students.

A frequent speaker to professional groups, Ms. Vitti-Lawton has recently presented to the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, International Association of Career Management Professionals, American Association of Women CPAs, Institute of Management Accountants, and Massachusetts Healthcare Human Resources Association. She has lectured on psychology to undergraduate and graduate students as well as to professional groups. She holds a Master's degree in Psychology from Lesley College and an undergraduate degree from the State University of New York. She is a member of the Human Resource Management Group and the Greater Boston Organizational Development Network.

NANCY YAHANDA is president of YAHANDA group, Inc. and a senior coach and consultant with more than twenty years of experience in the fields of leadership, team, and organization development. Her firm provides coaching in a variety of contexts including CEO succession, CEO and board relations, high potential leader programs, and post-merger integration efforts. Often, her firm's coaching assignments are linked with strategic business initiatives or organizational transformation efforts.

Nancy also consults in the development of global leaders and teams, in contexts ranging from expatriation/repatriation and cultural sensitivity to cross-cultural leadership coaching and multinational team development. Additionally, she works with venture capital firms and emerging companies to develop models for entrepreneurial leadership and organizational sustainability.

Nancy is a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Executive Coaching Forum. She is on the Board of Directors of the Human Resources Management Group, a member of The Boston Club (where she is a volunteer search manager for corporations seeking to enhance the diversity on their corporate boards) and a member of The Commonwealth Institute.

Education: Nancy received her Ed.D. with a specialization in Organizational Behavior from Harvard's Graduate School of Education. She has written for, and been featured in, articles about the use of coaching in the context of CEO succession and CEO and board relationships. She is also certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Benchmarks through The Center For Creative Leadership, and has continued her training in a variety of additional programs, including Systems Thinking, Negotiation, and Dialogue training.
